Quarantine Day Zero

I have to admit, this is not the catalyst I envisioned to get me to start blogging. It’s a requirement in one of the courses of my graduate degree program, so I thought that would be the motivator - not a global pandemic. We certainly live in interesting times. I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and inside during this time of uncertainty.

This uninterrupted time in my studio does take away any excuse I might have given myself to get out of content creation. I enjoy making artwork, but admittedly the notion of keeping up with all the social media, website, channels, etc. seemed pretty overwhelming. But, over the course of the past few days, I've been hitting the part of this process I dreaded most: just getting it all set up. Sync this, update that, the usual drill that I typically avoided.

I have no shortage of creative things that I will be working on in the concentrated time in the studio. I’m excited for the chance to do some painting, model building, digital designing, and reading. Among these, my continued work on my graduate research and ideas as well as my own relaxing and exploratory branches. For example, I have never played any table top games and as a fan of the Lord of the Rings, I figure building some of the miniatures will be a fun challenge coming from a military modeling background.

I am beginning some of the builds today with the aim of having a least a few projects started of a variety that I can update on regularly.

Stay healthy!
